Nutritech's Newsletter
Section One - Healthier, unprocessed food choices.
1). Brown rice, sweet potaoes, yams
2). Chicken breast, fish, turkey, egg whites.
3). Fresh fruits and vegetables (summer is a great time to take advantage of fresh garden veggies)
4). Seeds, nuts, grains
When starting your program, your goal is to eat unprocessed foods.
Section Two -Some quick hints for a Sccessful Nutrition Plan.
1). Cook and measure foods in advance (such as chicken breast, rice, sweet potaote, hard boiled eggs)
2). Have small containers to take prepared foods on the go.
3). Avoid meal replacement drinks - focus primarily on whole natural foods as possible (consume only if needed and at a maximum of one per day)
4). Last but not least - Always measure your foods. This ensures you are eating the correct amount of foods.
Section Three - Wellness Program Tips
1). Save your favorite meals as a "Saved Meal"; so you can use it later in any meal.
2). Print out the blank meal journal and document your food intake.
3). Print out the blank cardio journal and document your cardio activities.
4). The recommended daily number of meals is the minimum number of meals you should eat in any one day. These meals are designed for a typical day or 16 hours awake. Since we do not establish our guidelines on a per day basis, you may eat an extra meal if you are awake longer than 16 hours. We do nutrition per meal - not per day! That is why Nutritech works.
By keeping a log of your foods and cardio, you will be able to see how well you are following the Program.
Section Four - Things to Avoid
1). Alcohol
2). So called "Fat Free Foods" - they can contain alot of sugar
3). Unmeasurable foods - such as a casserole, heavy gravies, excess salad dressing & butter
Try to avoid foods that you can not measure the items and avoid adding extras, such as salad dressings, sour cream and butter. These foods are fine when combined and counted as part of your meal, but if you are following the Program, you do not want to add these extra amounts.
